Mahon Inn of Court Awards
Eldon B. Mahon Inn of Court
has been awarded the
2014 Achieving Excellence - Platinum Distinction
from the American Inns of Court. The award will be presented at the Celebration of Excellence event in Washington, D.C. later this fall. The
hard work and dedication demonstrated by Inn leaders and members has distinguished our Inn as a model of American Inn of Court best practices.
Awards History
:
In November of each year, the American Inns of Court and the United States Supreme Court host a Celebration of Excellence in Washington, D.C. for the purpose of recognizing accomplishments of local Inns throughout the United States and members of the legal profession whose achievements epitomize the ideals of the American Inns of Court. In prior years, local Inns throughout the United States who excelled in the American Inns of Court Model of Excellence guidelines were recognized with the Model of Excellence Award and the Circle of Excellence Distinction. Less than ten percent of all American Inns have ever received the Circle of Excellence Distinction. Among them is the Eldon B. Mahon Inn of Court, who received this Distinction in 2007, 2008 and 2009.
In 2010, the Achieving Excellence program replaced the Model of Excellence program. The Achieving Excellence program is a tier-based program in which the American Inns of Court recognizes a local Inn's mastery of five core competencies of successful Inns: administration, communications, programs, mentoring and outreach activities. Awards are given at the bronze, silver, gold and platinum levels. In 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 the Eldon B. Mahon Inn of Court received the highest distinction, the Achieving Excellence - Platinum Level Distinction.
